31st Oct Suez Canal The UK & France bomb Egypt to force the reopening of the canal with Operation Musketeer, Nasser then sinks all 40 ships in the canal & closes it until 1957
Nov Sevres The Allies agree Israel should invade & Britain & France would intervene & instruct the Israeli & Egyptian armies to withdraw 10 miles either side of the canal
